We use your information to provide and improve CampusBuzz, verify your university enrollment, personalize your experience, send notifications about relevant activity, connect you with mentors and peers, and ensure platform safety and security.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with university administrators for verification purposes, with service providers who help us operate the platform, and when required by law enforcement or legal obligations.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, regular security audits, and DDoS protection. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (with a 30-day grace period), export your data in JSON format, opt out of non-essential data collection, and withdraw consent at any time.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts are flagged after 2 years and may be subject to deletion. You can request deletion at any time. Content you've posted may remain visible even after account deletion if it has been shared or interacted with by others.
